Fred and Molly's Engagement Photographs

Fred and Molly just did their engagement session for their upcoming wedding on July 29th. Not only were they picture perfect, but so was their dog Zeus! I think he smiled in every photograph too. I put together a little slideshow of their session. I am looking forward to their wedding at the Immaculate Conception. That church is amazing for photographs.

Jackson- Atchley Wedding

Sara and Darrell were so organized for their wedding. They thought of every little detail and then some. With so much thought put into their wedding day it was absolutely beautiful. There were so many great moments and memories. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard during a bestmans toast. Sara and Darrell's bestman told some very enlightening and extremely funny stories. I think everyone in the room learned a few new things about them. Please check out their slideshow.

Jon and Heather Chipman

Lately I have been doing a lot of thinking about my clients and how blessed I have been to work with such great people. Jon and Heather have become more like friends over the past year of working with them. They are both originally from Colorado, but now reside in Chicago. They found my online and I am so happy they did. They are such a fun-loving couple. Don't forget to check out their slideshow.

Birdhaus Bash

We just went to our 2nd annual Birdhaus Bash! For the last two years Dzifa, my mom, Jerry (my step-dad), Toni (Dzifa's mom), Derick (Dzifa's dad) and I all joined a group of our friends at the Botanic Gardens for the Birdhaus Bash. This is a silent auction that raises money for charity. Anyone can build and design their own style of a bird house that is donated to the auction. Dzifa and I both built bird houses and had a little competition to see who's bird house went for the most money. Dzifa's bird house sold for $260! Needless to say he beat me pretty good, I thought mine was going great for $40 until I saw his bid sheet. What a fun night of family, friends and bird houses.

This is my bird house.

Here's Dzifa's bird house.

The Dog Days of Fishing

Dzifa and I snuck away over the 4th of July for a quick trip with our friends Maren and Ben. We might of been crazy to bring our two dogs along with Maren's dog. It ended up being a great time. Here are a few photographs of our dogs. I am sure you can guess which one is "his and hers." My dog, Ayla, is 2.5 pounds and gaurded my camera bag while I was fishing. Faust, Dzifa's dog is harder to take fishing because he likes to swim more then anything. : ) I brought my camera along to photograph Dzifa fishing. He is working on a website for Colorado fishermen and needs photos of just about everything fly fishing related. We got a lot of great shots for him to choose from. The photo of the fish with the dry fly is just for a detail shot to go on his site. After the picture the fish was sent back swimming.

A Little Mountain Escape

It isn't very often I have a weekend off during the summer. As it turns out I had this past weekend off, so I decided to escape to the mountains with Dzifa, Peggy and my Dad. We were also in the mountains during my dad's 66th birthday. We had planned to be in the mountains for four days, but the weather gods had different plans. Our first two days were beautiful with only patches of rain. During the 2nd night the rain clouds rolled in for good. After sitting in our tent for most of Saturday we decided to pack it in and head home.

The photo-ops were everywhere up there. I am so lucky that Dzifa enjoys taking pictures like I do. He took some great shots with his camera too. There were wild flowers in bloom all over the mountain. I did a few landscape shots, but mostly stuck with a macro and photographed the flowers. I will post a few more photos later, but here are a few of my favorites.

I forgot to mention our fishing contests. Everyday we were up there we had a contest of who caught the first fish of the day, the most fish and the biggest fish. It was a fun way to keep it interesting. It wouldn't be as fun if I didn't show you a slideshow!

Seth and Caitlin's Wedding on the Farm

Wow, what a new approach to my wedding photography. Seth and Caitlin both work on a farm in Loveland, CO. They had the coolest wedding at the farm. I couldn't stop shooting! They had a horse drawn carriage, a seed ceremony and the most incredible setting. When Caitlin started telling me about their unique approach to their wedding, I couldn't wait to photograph it. Take the time to look at their slideshow. You will see how enchanting this place was.

Dan and Kristie's Engagement Session

I love doing engagement portraits. It gives me and my bride and groom the chance to get to know one another. I found out so much about Dan and Kristie during our session. They were super cute and adorable to work with. Dan would try not to smile too much and then Kristie would get him laughing. I am looking forward to their wedding in August. Here is the link to their slideshow.

Jake and Jessica's Wedding

I love when I shoot a wedding and everything is perfect. From the dress, weather, scenery to the most adorable couple I couldn't go wrong. Jake and Jessica were so easy to photograph. I couldn't wait to put together thier slideshow and send it to them. They had every last detail pinned down. They even had their names on their M&M's! Too fun.

E-Pics of Gregg and Katie

Here are a few photographs of Gregg and Katie's engagement portrait. Gregg and Katie are so down to earth and easy going. Although being in front of the camera isn't his favorite past time, Gregg did great. Sometimes people are easier to photograph then they think. : ) Check out their slideshow too.
